How-To: Scan Documents on an iPhone

This user guide will explain how to scan documents to be emailed using an iPhone. For further questions or assistance, please email support@unitehere.org.

Scanning Documents

Step 1: Open the Notes application.

Step 2: In a new note, name what is to be scanned. Then click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner.

Step 3: From the new drop-down menu, click on the Scan button.

Step 4: Hold the camera over the item to be scanned. A yellow box will appear on the page to show what area is being scanned. Then the phone will take an image of what is in the yellow box. When all documents have been scanned, click the yellow check mark in the upper right corner. *Please note: manual scans can be done using the large white button in the bottom center of the screen if needed.

Step 5: Scanned items are saved in the notes application unless sent elsewhere. Use either the down arrow next to the file name or the share button up at the top to use the scanned items.

Down arrow by name: This allows users to save files to the Files app, share, or print easily. If saving to files, choose the file destination. Click save to save into the files or click on a folder to save into.

Share button in upper right corner: This allows users to easily text or email scanned documents.
