You got an email inviting you to access the report for who sent a City Council letter. Here is an example of what the invitation email looks like:
The email has a link asking you to accept the invitation (marked here with a red oval) and then the link to the Action Network action report (marked here with a red rectangle). You only have to accept the invitation once but you should SAVE THESE EMAILS or BOOKMARK THE LINK TO THE ACTION REPORT, as it's the only way you can access the action report later. You will not get a new invitation email unless you lose it; then you will have to ask me to generate a new link for you.
Each time you want an updated report
1) Click the link to access the report from the invitation email
2) Log in to Action Network with the same email address where you got the invitation email. If you do not have an account, click the link to register, marked here with an orange oval. If you forgot your password, click "Forgot Password," marked here with an orange star.
You may not have to log in every time.
3) Once you are logged in, you will see a screen to Manage the Letter Campaign, which looks something like this. Scroll down this screen…
…until you see the option to Generate a report. Click the green "Generate" button, marked here in an orange rectangle. Don't bother with the Download button; it doesn't do what you think it does.
4) Action Network then asks you to specify your preferences for your report. You can ignore this and just click the red "Download CSV" button, marked here in an orange oval.
You'll then see a thin green pop-up message on your screen confirming that Action Network is preparing your report and will email you when the report is ready.
5) Check for the report email, which will have just one link in it. Click that link and the report will download as a spreadsheet file to your computer's default downloads folder. The file name will start with "Letter_report."
You get a lovely spreadsheet that lists every time someone sent a letter.
